Al-Bait Assamed Association Society was established in June, 1989 to function as a women association which socially, culturally and by training develops and builds women’s capacities.

Al-Bait Assamed Association Society is a women, charitable and nonprofit association established in June, 1989 in the Gaza Strip by a group of working women on the healthcare, medical and educational fields to provide financial support and humanitarian assistance for needy women and children and promote Palestinian women’s capacities in Gaza by training them and creating employment opportunities along with enhancing them in the healthcare, social and cultural fields.
 
 
Mission:
 

1- Promoting woman’s capacities and creating job opportunities for women working on marginalized, disadvantaged and poor areas;

2- Maintaining the Palestinian popular heritage;

3- Deepening the cultural awareness of women;

4- Working on improving the psychological and health status of children through program of the artificial eyes as well as family individuals who are, notably in need for the artificial eyes.

5- Maintaining women’s fitness through the sports program
 
 
 
Objectives:

* Raising women’s awareness and promoting their culture through the training courses, publications, pamphlets and symposiums;

* Assisting women, especially those who are widows and wives of detainees and martyrs to gain a craft as source of getting the bread and a decent life;

* Giving the opportunities for women to be outdoors to contribute on building and developing the community;

* Drawing attention for the women’s healthcare through the health-cultural symposiums and sports tournaments;

* Revitalizing the Palestinian popular heritage, notably the rural embroidery;

* Coordinating with the national organizations, and other charity commissions inside and outside Palestine for the purpose of development and progress;

* Drawing attention for the children and women’s education and guiding them to best exploit their spare time by practicing sport, cultural and art summer programs.
